Feeling comfortable and REAL is something I think we all want. That's why I'm including these three tips you've got to know before you get out and have your first shoot. Or heck! Maybe you just want to feel your most natural self in front of the camera. You've gotta have these tips to chill out & have a good time. xx
Dear Bride, You are planning your wedding. The biggest day of your life. Every detail is seen, the expenses are paid and there are crucial decisions on who you hire to help you celebrate and pull everything together. Nothing about this day is cheap. From floral design, centerpieces, makeup, accessories, transportation, venue and the list goes on, you have poured your heart and soul (and cash) into it. This is the day you celebrate two becoming one. This is the beginning adventure of your life story as Mr. & Mrs.
These two have a unique story. Shortly after booking with me last year, they decided to elope! When we went on their engagement shoot, they were already married. By the time their original "big day" came around they'd already been married for a whole year! None-the-less this day was perfect. I believe they were even closer and it was even more special because they'd known each other as husband and wife already. Ana's family flew in from California and it was a giant celebration of their commitment to one another!
Dear Bride, Planning your wedding is enough work as it is! Can you plan on your photographer just showing up and shooting whatever is thrown at him or her?
I think that is a risk you shouldn't take.
When will you and your future spouse first see each other, before or during the ceremony? Are the photos after the ceremony worth panicking over because you don't know if you got all the shots you wanted? Family, friends, wedding party ect.
I highly recommend when choosing a wedding photographer you ask if they provide a timeline. If they don't, ask them if they will be willing to work with you on creating one.
I provide every couple a personalized and detailed timeline. This saves us from decision fatigue on the wedding day, and it makes the day run smooth and a little more carefree. :)
'til next time...
Are you not so sure what to wear for your engagement session? Occasionally my brides ask me what they should wear, what their fiance should wear and they say "Do you have any tips for hair and makeup?" or "How many outfits should I bring?". Well, this blog is written for you my friend! :)
